Title: Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Salary: $68,640.00-$72,000
SUMMARY:
The Production Supervisor will direct and coordinate activities concerned with production of the company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate crew leaders.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Influence and maintain a safe work environment.
- Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
- Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations based on production schedules and requisitions materials from storage areas.
- Plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders.
- Interfaces with others in the company to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and the quality of the product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the shop, department, or work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Maintains time and production needs.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and the Quality Systems Auditors to insure effective execution of all maintenance-related sanitation and food safety programs and their documentation.
- Perform other reasonable job-related duties as assigned or requested.
- Must have a high level of problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work effectively as a team player, with the ability to interact across departmental boundaries, minimizing conflict and maximizing good will across all company departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Job experience: minimum of 5 years of management experience or demonstrated equivalent.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Ability to develop procedures, job descriptions, and other necessary documents and keep them current.
- Be familiar with food-related requirements such as GMP's, HACCP, SSOP’s, OSHA, and USDA.
- Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and have a general competency in computer operation.
Working Conditions and Physical Aspects:
- Stand and walk for a long period of time.
- Work (bend down) under/around equipment.
- Ability to use a ladder to reach high areas.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to use all four senses—sight, hearing, touch, and smell.
- Work at a refrigerated room temperature.
- Work in a wet environment.
- Must wear personal protective equipment at all times.
